Jonathan L. Hay is a highly respected attorney who focuses his legal practice on estate planning, estate and trust administration, and advising privately held business owners. Jonathan began his academic journey by earning a B.S. in Business Administration, cum laude, from the College of Charleston in 1979. He received his J.D. from the University of South Carolina in 1983 and went on to obtain an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida in 1984. His solid business, law, and tax foundation uniquely positioned him to serve clients with complex financial needs.

Jonathan’s professional path includes serving as a tax manager at KPMG Peat Marwick and contributing to the tax department of one of Jacksonville’s leading law firms. These roles have given Jonathan valuable insight and experience in handling sophisticated estate and tax matters for both individuals and business entities across Florida and South Carolina.

Jonathan holds licenses from The Florida Bar, the South Carolina Bar, and the United States Tax Court. He is board-certified in Tax Law by The Florida Bar.
