Jon M. Pinnick has over 27 years of legal experience focused on representing physicians, dentists, podiatrists, and osteopaths in medical malpractice litigation. He has taken more than 40 jury trials to verdict as lead counsel, with a strong record of defense verdicts in complex, high-stakes cases throughout Indiana courts.

Jon began his academic journey at Hanover College, earning a B.A.S. in Economics in 1987. He graduated as a Presidential Scholar, Academic and Athletic All-American, and a member of the Mortar Board Honor Society. He then earned his J.D. from Indiana University School of Law in 1990, establishing a solid foundation for a distinguished litigation career.

Jon’s legal practice centers on medical malpractice, healthcare litigation, medical licensing board actions, and general litigation. He is admitted to practice in all Indiana state courts, the Northern and Southern Federal District Courts, and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He has also argued numerous cases at both the Indiana Court of Appeals and the Seventh Circuit.

Jon is a frequent speaker on medical-legal issues, presenting to healthcare providers and attorneys in continuing legal education programs. His deep understanding of clinical standards and courtroom procedures makes him a trusted advisor and skilled advocate for healthcare professionals facing litigation.

Jon is a member of the Defense Research Institute and the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana. He has consistently demonstrated excellence in securing favorable outcomes through jury verdicts, summary judgments, and appellate rulings.
