Keith D. Flynn leads the Employment Litigation Practice Group at Miller Cohen, PLC, and is a committed advocate for workers and unions throughout Michigan. His practice centers on labor law, employment law, and election law, with a strong emphasis on civil rights litigation. Mr. Flynn has successfully tried and appealed cases before state and federal courts, earning notable verdicts and honors for his work.
Mr. Flynn earned his J.D., cum laude, from Michigan State University College of Law in 2010, where he also served as Articles Editor for the Michigan State Law Review. He holds an M.A. in Human Resources and Labor Relations from the Michigan State School of Labor and Industrial Relations. He received his B.A., summa cum laude, from Albion College with a double major in Political Science and Management.
Mr. Flynn began his legal career with a focus on labor relations and civil rights. He has represented clients before the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Michigan Supreme Court, and the Michigan Court of Appeals. His work also extends to the National Labor Relations Board, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and U.S. Department of Labor. In 2022, he led the jury trial in Zelma Motley v. Metro Man I, Inc., which was recognized as one of the top 100 civil rights verdicts nationwide.
In recognition of his efforts against Michigan’s controversial Emergency Manager law, Mr. Flynn was awarded the Spirit of Detroit Award. His courtroom success has secured millions for clients in employment discrimination, union disputes, and workplace rights violations.
Keith D. Flynn has been named a Michigan “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers in 2019 and 2020, and a “Super Lawyer” in 2021, 2022, and 2023. He continues to be a prominent legal figure defending the rights of employees across the public and private sectors.
