Johnson W. Gabhart

Johnson W. Gabhart has dedicated more than 25 years to representing clients across West Virginia in cases ranging from personal injury matters to complex business and construction disputes. John began his academic path at Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky, where he earned a B.A. cum laude in 1987. He went on to receive his J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1990. During his studies, he was honored as a Thomas Jefferson Scholar and actively engaged in Delta Sigma Phi, Phi Delta Phi, Omicron Delta Epsilon, and The Holleian Society.

John is admitted to practice before the West Virginia State Bar. His memberships include the West Virginia Bar Association, the American Bar Association’s Forum on Construction Industry and Public Contracts Section, and the West Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. He is also a member of professional organizations connected to construction and utility work, including the Asphalt Pavement Association of West Virginia, Associated Builders and Contractors, the Contractor’s Association of West Virginia, and the West Virginia Utility Contractor’s Association.

John has also committed time to educational and community leadership. He served as a trustee for the Contractors Association of West Virginia Scholarship Foundation and contributed to local education as a member of the Teays Valley Christian School Board.
