John Neihouse is a partner at RMP Law who advises clients on estate planning, trust planning, tax law, tax planning, business planning, and mergers and acquisitions. He joined the firm as a partner in 2010 and focuses on helping individuals, families, businesses, and organizations address legal and tax issues with practical planning. His work includes trust and estate matters, business succession planning, and tax-related guidance for clients with important financial and organizational goals.

John earned an LL.M. in Taxation from Southern Methodist University in 1990. He also received a J.D. with honors from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1989 and a B.S. in Accounting from Arkansas Tech University in 1985. His accounting background and advanced tax training support his ability to evaluate financial details, structure plans, and guide clients through estate, business, and tax matters.

John’s experience includes estate and trust planning, estate and trust litigation, federal and state tax controversies, merger and acquisition work, tax-exempt organization planning, and charitable planning. He assists clients with matters that often require coordination between tax rules, ownership structures, family planning, and business objectives. Through this work, he helps clients manage risk, preserve assets, plan transitions, and address disputes with careful legal judgment.

John Neihouse is active in professional and community organizations connected to estate planning, charitable planning, and legal practice. He has served as a past president and board member of the Northwest Arkansas Estate Planning Council, and as a past board member of the Northwest Arkansas Community Foundation and the Arkansas Tech University Foundation.
