John J. Zarych

John J. Zarych is the founder of a New Jersey criminal defense practice representing clients in state and federal cases. His work includes serious felony accusations, homicide, assault, drug crimes, theft, white collar matters, weapons charges, sexual offenses, DUI, juvenile cases, traffic matters, appeals, and expungement-related proceedings. He has tried hundreds of cases and brings extensive courtroom experience to disputes involving liberty, constitutional protections, and government prosecution.

Zarych earned his law degree from the University of Maryland School of Law, graduating cum laude. He served as an editor of the Maryland Law Review and received top academic grades in criminal procedure and administrative law. During law school, he clerked for the Honorable Leon Pierson, a former United States Attorney for Maryland, and worked on significant legal projects that deepened his interest in criminal law and constitutional protections.

Zarych previously served as a trial attorney for the US federal government before establishing his own firm. He is admitted in New Jersey and Maryland and has remained active in criminal-defense and bar organizations.
