Robert S. Iwrey

Robert S. Iwrey is a founding shareholder of The Health Law Partners, P.C. and focuses his practice on health care law. Iwrey counsels health care providers on licensure, DEA investigations, staff privileges, employment and health-related contracts, physician practice issues, third-party payor matters, government investigations, audit defense, and related litigation. He has practiced as a litigator since 1993 and has handled health care transactional work since 1999, combining regulatory counseling with dispute experience.

Iwrey earned a J.D. from Wayne State University Law School in 1993, where he received the American Jurisprudence Award for Advanced Legal Writing and participated in Moot Court. He earned a B.S. in Neuropsychology, with High Distinction, from the University of Michigan in 1988 and was a member of academic honor societies. His legal and scientific background supports work involving medical professionals, regulatory agencies, controlled substances, licensing standards, contracts, reimbursement, and other complex health care issues.

Iwrey advises physicians and other health care providers on regulatory compliance, licensing, audits, government scrutiny, contracts, credentialing, and practice operations. His work includes investigations involving the DEA and government health care programs, third-party payor disputes, staff privileges, and litigation. He also writes and speaks on health law topics such as physician contracting, fraud and abuse, controlled substances, electronic health records, licensing consequences, and government scrutiny of providers, reflecting substantial involvement in professional health-law education.

Robert S. Iwrey has received an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell and recognition from DBusiness, Super Lawyers, and other legal organizations for health care law. Iwrey has also been recognized for pro bono service by the American Health Law Association. His practice combines litigation, transactions, regulatory counseling, and professional education to help health care clients respond to investigations, structure agreements, protect licenses and privileges, manage compliance duties, and address disputes that can affect both professional standing and business operations.
