John Fitch

John Fitch is the principal and founder of The Fitch Law Firm in Columbus, Ohio, where he represents individuals and families in personal injury matters. With more than 30 years of experience, Fitch handles catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims arising from car and truck accidents, medical negligence, defective products, traumatic brain injuries, and other serious incidents. His practice also includes cases involving sexual abuse and other complex claims requiring substantial investigation and litigation.

Fitch earned his J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law and a B.S. from The Ohio State University. His legal education laid the foundation for trial advocacy, legal analysis, and evaluating complex injury claims. Before establishing his firm, he worked as an associate attorney at Wolske & Barclay and Miller and Searl & Fitch, gaining experience that helped shape his approach to personal injury litigation and client representation.

Fitch has handled hundreds of complex damages cases and has obtained numerous significant settlements and verdicts for injured clients and families. In 2019, he secured a $134 million jury verdict for a survivor who was sexually abused as a child. His experience also includes catastrophic injury, wrongful death, medical negligence, product liability, and motor vehicle cases, with numerous recoveries exceeding $1 million. His work focuses on preparing substantial claims and pursuing compensation through negotiation and trial.

John Fitch is AV Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has been selected for the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He is a past president of the Central Ohio Association for Justice and has served on the Board of Trustees of the Ohio Association for Justice.
