About
Mike Singley represents clients seeking compensation for serious personal injuries, wrongful death, civil rights law violations, and defective products at Edwards Law. He focuses particularly on complex cases involving catastrophic harm and significant damages. He began his career defending large companies in injury and wrongful death litigation before changing direction to represent victims of wrongdoing. He now applies that defense-side experience to plaintiff advocacy, case preparation, negotiations, and courtroom litigation throughout Texas and beyond.
Mike earned his J.D. from the University of Texas, graduating in the top ten percent of his class. He earned his undergraduate degree from Stanford University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He began his legal career as a briefing attorney for Justice Mack Kidd of the Texas Court of Appeals in Austin. He later practiced at large Austin firms handling complex civil litigation matters.
Mike has obtained significant results for clients in serious personal injury and wrongful death cases, including people harmed by asbestos exposure and mesothelioma. He also handles civil rights and product liability litigation involving complex factual and legal issues. He founded a plaintiff-focused law practice in 2002 after several years representing corporate defendants. His work emphasizes careful investigation, strong evidentiary development, strategic negotiation, and trial preparation for high-stakes injury claims statewide.
Mike Singley has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer and has served in leadership roles with the Capital Area Trial Lawyers’ Association. He was president of the organization from 2017 to 2018 after holding other officer positions and serving on its Executive Committee. He is licensed in Texas and Oklahoma, before the US Supreme Court, the Fifth Circuit, and all federal district courts in Texas, supporting broad litigation work.
