Jill Robb Ackerman represents individuals and companies in high-stakes litigation involving business disputes, technology, trademarks, and Title IX. She has led cases in both federal and state courts and arbitration settings. Jill is also a frequent speaker on key legal topics such as attorney-client privilege, cybersecurity, trade secrets, and electronic discovery.

Jill earned her Bachelor of Science in Education, magna cum laude, from Northern Arizona University in 1976. She completed her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, at Creighton University School of Law in 1984. Early in her career, she clerked for the Honorable C. Arlen Beam at the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska from 1984 to 1986.

Jill focuses her practice on litigation, intellectual property, mediation, data protection, and technology law. She is admitted to practice before several courts, including the United States Supreme Court and the Eighth and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeals. Her courtroom presence spans a wide range of industries and legal issues.

Jill is a nationally recognized litigator with a long track record of honors in intellectual property and copyright law. She has been featured in Great Plains Super Lawyers and Chambers USA, and has been consistently listed in The Best Lawyers in America® since 2003. Jill has been named “Lawyer of the Year” multiple times for copyright and intellectual property litigation, and Benchmark Litigation has ranked her among the Top 250 Women in Litigation.

Jill has held numerous leadership roles in the legal community. She served as President of the Nebraska State Bar Association and on its Executive Council, Judiciary Committee, and House of Delegates. She was appointed as a Commissioner for the Commission on Uniform State Laws and has been involved with several national and regional bar associations and legal committees.
