About
Jevon C. Bindman is a Partner at Maslon LLP and Chair of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee. His litigation practice focuses on insurance coverage lawsuits and disputes, construction and real estate matters, business litigation, appeals, and motion practice. He represents policyholders and other stakeholders in complex disputes, using written advocacy and procedural strategy to pursue efficient resolutions. He appears before Minnesota and federal appellate courts and handles matters through trial and post-trial proceedings.
Jevon earned his B.A. in Music, cum laude, from Cornell University in 2005, his Master of Music from Michigan State University in 2007, and his J.D., summa cum laude, from William Mitchell College of Law in 2014. Before joining Maslon, he served as a law clerk to Justice G. Barry Anderson of the Minnesota Supreme Court. He is admitted in Minnesota and several federal trial and appellate courts nationwide.
Jevon has significant experience with motions to dismiss, summary judgment, post-trial motions, appellate briefing, and oral argument. His work includes insurance recovery, construction disputes, real estate matters, franchise and business conflicts, and jurisdictional issues. He has represented clients in state and federal courts and in arbitration proceedings. He also co-authors multiple volumes of the Minnesota Practice Series, including resources on courtroom evidence, civil rules, and causes of action statewide.
Jevon C. Bindman serves on the Minnesota Supreme Court Advisory Committee on the Rules of Civil Procedure and has held leadership roles within the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Construction Section. He is also active with the Construction Lawyers Society of America, the Eighth Circuit Bar Association, and the Hennepin County Bar Association. Through his legal services, he combines litigation, appellate advocacy, insurance recovery, construction law, and pro bono service in his Minnesota legal practice.
