Chris Ligori

Chris Ligori is a Tampa personal injury trial attorney and founding partner who represents people harmed in serious accidents. With more than 30 years of experience, he handles cases involving car and truck collisions, catastrophic injuries, negligent security, and wrongful death. He investigates claims, prepares cases for trial, and pursues compensation for injured clients and families. He has tried more than 120 cases to verdict.

Chris earned an A.A. from Florida State University in 1988, followed by a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Florida in 1990. He received his J.D. from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law in 1994. Admitted to the Florida Bar that year, he is also admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Chris has handled matters involving traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, premises liability, first-party insurance disputes, and nursing home abuse. He has questioned specialists in medicine, engineering, biomechanics, and economics while preparing and trying cases. His experience includes hearings concerning expert testimony. He has also testified before the Florida House and Senate on issues affecting personal injury law and spoken at legal education programs.

Chris Ligori serves as president of the Florida Justice Association and has held positions on its board of directors and executive committee. In 2022, he was appointed to the Florida Supreme Court’s Judicial Management Council, which advises on improvements to the court system. His recognitions include selection to Super Lawyers and the National Trial Lawyers Top 100, along with an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell. He also supports charitable efforts for children in the Tampa Bay area.
