About

Jesse Wing is a nationally respected trial attorney at MacDonald Hoague & Bayless with more than 30 years of experience representing clients in civil rights, employment, and discrimination litigation. Known for his commitment to justice, Jesse pursues results that restore dignity and rights to those facing unfair treatment.

Jesse earned his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1991 and his B.A. from Oberlin College in 1987. He began his career as a staff attorney for the ACLU of Wisconsin and later clerked for U.S. District Court Judge David Cohen. Before joining MHB in 2001, he practiced civil rights law in Chicago and led his own Seattle-based firm.

Jesse has earned national recognition for his precedent-setting work. His cases have advanced free speech, anti-discrimination, and fair housing rights, while holding employers, landlords, and government actors accountable. He’s obtained multimillion-dollar settlements and court orders mandating systemic reforms.

Admitted to practice in Washington, Jesse has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America every year since 2013 and is ranked among the Top 100 Trial Lawyers. He has also demonstrated strong civil rights and workplace justice leadership as President of the ACLU of Washington and Chair of the Washington Employment Lawyers Association.

Beyond litigation, Jesse Wing has been a legislative advocate and educator. He lectures on civil rights law at Seattle University and the University of Washington and has contributed to employment legislation in Washington State. His work has shaped case law, reformed public policies, and improved protections for workers and vulnerable communities.

Whether defending constitutional rights or fighting discriminatory practices, Jesse is a steadfast advocate. His career reflects a deep commitment to equity, fair treatment, and legal excellence in service of justice.
