Audrey DeRose Oliver

Audrey DeRose Oliver is a passionate civil rights attorney who advocates for people facing abuse and discrimination from government officials, employers, and other powerful institutions. She is especially committed to protecting the rights of incarcerated individuals, working to ensure humane treatment and fair legal protections for those behind bars.

Audrey earned her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Vermont.

During law school, Audrey served as a student attorney with the University of Denver’s Civil Rights Clinic. For two years, she worked to defend the religious rights of a Muslim man in prison, an experience that helped shape her long-term commitment to prison justice work. Her outstanding performance earned her multiple awards, including Outstanding Student Attorney (2023 and 2024), the Chancellor Scholar award, and membership in the Order of the Coif.

Audrey was admitted to the Colorado Bar in 2024 and is licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. She brings dedication and determination to every case she handles, especially those involving jail and prison abuse or violations of civil rights.

In each matter, Audrey DeRose Oliver works closely with her clients to make sure their voices are heard and their rights are protected. Her approach is both compassionate and strategic, rooted in a belief that legal advocacy can help shift power and restore justice where it’s been denied. Audrey continues her mission at the Civil Rights Litigation Group, where she helps individuals stand up against injustice and hold those in authority accountable.
