Joe Shaeffer

Joe Shaeffer is a seasoned civil rights and employment attorney with MacDonald Hoague & Bayless, where he has practiced for over a decade. Known for his tenacity and deep sense of justice, he advocates for individuals facing discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation, and wage violations, guiding clients through pre-trial negotiation or courtroom litigation.

Joe earned his J.D. with honors from the University of Washington School of Law in 2002. He also holds an A.B. in Chemistry and Biology from Cornell University. He served as a judicial law clerk to Judge Marsha Pechman of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington and to Judge Betty Binns Fletcher on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
