Jason Marcus is a highly experienced whistleblower attorney who has worked on False Claims Act cases since 2008. His legal career is centered around representing individuals committed to exposing fraud and upholding integrity. Jason has built a reputation for standing firmly with whistleblowers and pursuing justice on their behalf.
Jason began his education by earning a Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University in just two years, majoring in Political Economics and minoring in English. He later earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law, graduating cum laude as the youngest member of his class. During law school, he was Notes Editor for the Journal of Intellectual Property Law and led the Sports & Entertainment Law Society.
Jason launched his legal career clerking for Magistrate Judge G.R. Smith in the Southern District of Georgia. There, he gained hands-on courtroom experience and deep insight into federal litigation. Afterward, he practiced civil, criminal, and family law in a smaller firm, sharpening his litigation skills across multiple legal areas.
Jason transitioned into False Claims Act work in 2008, joining a litigation boutique where he partnered with nationally respected attorneys. Over the years, he helped clients challenge fraud in government programs, including healthcare and procurement fraud, through qui tam lawsuits. His advocacy has directly contributed to significant recoveries for the U.S. government and whistleblowers.
Jason has earned numerous honors, including the AV Preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell and annual selections as a Super Lawyers Rising Star. He holds leadership roles in organizations like the Federal Bar Association’s Qui Tam Section and the Anti-Fraud Coalition. His speaking engagements include major conferences on fraud and whistleblower law, reflecting his leadership in the field.
