Janine M. Becker has built a distinguished legal career serving individuals and businesses throughout Connecticut. Licensed in both State and Federal Courts, including the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Connecticut, she has represented clients across diverse legal areas since 1991, ranging from real estate and landlord-tenant law to bankruptcy and personal injury matters.

Janine completed her undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1988, graduating with honors and earning a Bachelor of Arts degree. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Pace University School of Law in 1991, further strengthening her foundation for a career in law. This academic foundation laid the groundwork for her broad practice and courtroom experience.

Janine has successfully guided clients through a wide range of complex legal matters, including jury and bench trials, appellate arguments, probate proceedings, and workers’ compensation hearings. She regularly appears in foreclosure and bankruptcy courts to protect the rights of individuals facing financial hardship, and she also provides comprehensive estate planning services for families and strategic planning support for small businesses. Throughout her career, Janine’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding her clients’ interests has remained at the core of her practice.

Janine’s leadership extends to professional associations. She has served as President and Board Member of the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association and continues as chair of its Foreclosure and Solo/Small Firm Committees. She is also a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. In recognition of her commitment to service, she received a Pro Bono Award in 2011.

Janine has been actively engaged in volunteer efforts with organizations such as Connecticut Legal Services, Lawyers in Libraries, and the Court Foreclosure Volunteer Attorneys. Her community service also includes mentoring students, supporting food security programs, and chairing the Town of Trumbull Fair Rent Commission. She has additionally been recognized through multiple selections to Super Lawyers for her professional accomplishments.

Janine M. Becker has also contributed to significant appellate cases in Connecticut, including Monetary Funding v. Pluchino (2005), U.S. Bank National Assoc v.
