James Ryan Turner

James Ryan Turner is an experienced injury lawyer serving clients in Kentucky and Ohio. A seventh-generation Kentuckian, he was raised in southeastern Kentucky and inspired by a family devoted to public service and the law. James Ryan Turner focuses his practice on seeking justice for individuals and families harmed through no fault of their own.

Ryan earned his B.A. English, Magna Cum Laude, 2005, from Transylvania University. He later received his Juris Doctor in 2008 from NKU Chase College of Law. After law school, he served as Law Clerk to Deputy Chief Justice Will T. Scott at the Supreme Court of Kentucky, gaining valuable appellate insight.

Ryan concentrates on personal injury, wrongful death, and trial practice. His work includes motor vehicle wrecks, tractor-trailer wrecks, motorcycle wrecks, pedestrian injuries, defective vehicles and medical devices, premises liability, uninsured and underinsured motorist claims, and bad-faith claims. He also represents landowners in eminent domain disputes.

Ryan secured a $1,245,000.00 jury verdict in 2022 for a landowner whose property was damaged by a road project. He has obtained several seven-figure settlements and has handled both catastrophic injury cases and smaller claims with equal dedication.

Ryan is admitted in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and State of Ohio, along with federal courts in Kentucky and Ohio. His honors include Super Lawyers Rising Stars, Top 40 Under 40, The National Trial Lawyers, and membership in the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
