James M. “Jim” Lennon

James M. “Jim” Lennon is an accomplished intellectual property attorney with more than two decades of experience handling complex patent and trademark litigation. Based in Delaware, he represents both plaintiffs and defendants in high-stakes disputes nationwide, frequently serving as lead or local counsel in the District of Delaware. His practice also includes licensing and IP strategy, where he advises businesses on protecting and maximizing the value of their innovations.

Lennon earned his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2001 and his B.S. in Geology, cum laude with distinction, from the University of Delaware in 1995. Before entering law, he worked as a geologist at DuPont, a role that honed his ability to analyze complex scientific concepts—a skill that now benefits his legal career. His technical background allows him to communicate effectively with inventors, juries, and judges in patent disputes spanning diverse technologies.

Lennon has litigated numerous cases across U.S. district courts, the Federal Circuit, and the Court of Federal Claims, with experience in trials, appeals, and reexaminations before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He also continues to prosecute patent applications, building global IP portfolios for clients in industries ranging from technology and medical devices to manufacturing.
