James C. Adams, II, is the managing partner of Brooks Pierce in Greensboro, North Carolina. He is a seasoned civil and commercial litigation lawyer with more than 30 years of experience in arbitral proceedings and federal and state courts. Adams represents businesses and individuals in disputes involving noncompetition agreements, taxation, health care, professional malpractice, ERISA, estate litigation, and corporate and commercial matters.
Adams earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1991, graduating magna cum laude and receiving Order of the Coif honors. He served as articles editor of the Georgetown Law Review. He also earned a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1988, with honors in economics and distinction, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
