Charles S. Baldwin IV is a partner at Brooks Pierce in Wilmington, North Carolina. He advises businesses on international law, transportation matters, venture capital, and transactional issues. Baldwin uses broad experience in cross-border transactions to counsel companies on imports, exports, cargo claims, Federal Maritime Commission matters, start-ups, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and related business concerns. He also serves as Village Attorney for the Village of Bald Head Island.
Baldwin earned an LL.M. in international and comparative law from Georgetown University Law Center in 1996, with distinction. He also received an M.A. from American University’s School of International Service in 1995, a J.D. from American University Washington College of Law in 1993, and a B.A. in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1990. His education supports his international, corporate, and regulatory practice.
