Jaclyn T. Gansa

Jaclyn T. Gans is a shareholder at Elam & Burke in Boise, Idaho. She represents businesses and other clients in commercial litigation, employment disputes, and trust and fiduciary matters. Her litigation experience also includes construction defects, product liability, insurance bad-faith claims, appellate matters, and professional liability disputes. Gans combines careful preparation with clear communication, helping clients understand their options and make informed decisions throughout complex state and federal proceedings.

Gans earned her J.D. from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2013 and her B.A. in Communications from California State University, Fullerton, in 2010. After law school, she clerked for Justice Jim Jones of the Idaho Supreme Court and later for Chief Judge B. Lynn Winmill of the U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho. These clerkships strengthened her research, writing, appellate, and courtroom skills.

Gans has handled litigation in Idaho state courts, federal district court, and before the Idaho Supreme Court. She advises clients on construction defect, product liability, first-party insurance, commercial, employment, and trust-related disputes. Although litigation is a central part of her practice, she also counsels businesses on personnel matters, employment-law compliance, contracts, corporate documents, and business formations. Her work helps clients manage disputes while addressing broader operational and legal risks.

Jaclyn T. Gans became a shareholder in 2020 and joined Elam & Burke’s Executive Committee in 2021.
