J. Tucker Merrigan

Boston trial lawyer J. Tucker Merrigan is known for helping injury victims and their families seek justice across Massachusetts. With a practice focused solely on litigation, he has built a reputation for aggressive advocacy in personal injury, medical malpractice, and product liability cases. Tucker began his academic journey at Loomis Chaffee in Connecticut before earning his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science at Tufts University. While at Tufts, he was captain of the Men’s Varsity Lacrosse team and received both All-American and Scholar All-America honors. He went on to complete his J.D. at New England School of Law in Boston.

Throughout his legal career, Tucker has taken on complex cases involving car accidents, wrongful death, defective drugs and devices, and insurance disputes. He has represented individuals and municipalities, including more than 125 Massachusetts towns, in national litigation against major pharmaceutical companies for their role in the opioid crisis.

Tucker is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. His professional memberships include the American Association for Justice, the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association, and the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys.

Tucker Merrigan has received numerous legal honors, including recognition as a Top 40 Under 40 Trial Attorney by National Trial Lawyers (2015–2022) and a Rising Star by Super Lawyers (2018–2023).
