J. Derek Pakiz is a personal injury attorney and lead trial lawyer at The Reeves Law Group in California. For more than 30 years, he has focused on catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and serious accident cases. He serves as the firm’s litigation supervisor and lead trial attorney.
Derek earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He later received his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School. Since the 1980s, he has practiced exclusively in personal injury law, representing victims harmed by negligence and wrongful acts.
Derek focuses on catastrophic personal injury matters, including drownings, wrongful death, truck accidents, and car accidents. He works closely with injured clients and families to pursue compensation and accountability.
