Ivette P. Alvarado

Ivette P. Alvarado is a Member of the Real Estate Department at Sills Cummis & Gross P.C. She focuses her practice on commercial real estate transactions, redevelopment, leasing, and financing. With more than two decades of experience, she advises clients on acquisitions, dispositions, and investment strategies, as well as large-scale leasing and development projects. Known for her collaborative approach, she works closely with clients and their professional teams to identify risks, solve problems, and close deals efficiently.

Alvarado earned her B.A. from Rutgers University, where she developed a foundation in business and legal studies. She then earned her J.D. from Rutgers Law School, which prepared her for the complexities of real estate law. Licensed in both New Jersey and New York, she represents clients across multiple jurisdictions in the United States, as well as in Europe and Latin America, providing counsel that reflects both local knowledge and international perspective.

Alvarado’s work includes advising on acquisitions and dispositions involving multiple jurisdictions, condominium formation and governance, real estate finance, and lease negotiations for retail, office, and industrial spaces. She has represented clients ranging from real estate investment trusts to multinational corporations, including overseeing large-scale portfolio reorganizations and negotiating redevelopment agreements. Her bilingual abilities and Latin heritage allow her to effectively represent clients in Latin America, expanding her reach and strengthening her international practice.

Beyond her legal practice, Ivette P. Alvarado is active in the commercial real estate community. She has served as President of CREW NJ and has been a frequent speaker at industry conferences.
