Jeffrey Gaskill

Jeffrey Gaskill is a Member of the Real Estate Department at Sills Cummis & Gross P.C., where his practice focuses on real estate finance and complex lending transactions. He represents lenders in commercial mortgage loans intended for securitization in the capital markets. His experience spans a wide range of property types, including hotels, offices, multi-family housing, warehouses, and retail shopping centers, as well as multi-asset portfolios and structured financing arrangements.

Mr. Gaskill earned his B.A. from Rutgers University, followed by a B.S. from Rutgers University, giving him a strong academic foundation in business and finance. He went on to earn his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, where he gained the skills and training needed to succeed in commercial real estate law. Licensed in both New Jersey and New York, he provides clients with practical and results-oriented counsel.

In addition to handling mortgage and mezzanine loan originations, Mr. Gaskill advises clients on preferred equity investments and large-scale financing deals. He also represents lenders in loan workouts and restructurings, including drafting modifications, forbearance agreements, and borrower notifications. His ability to navigate both the origination and restructuring sides of real estate finance gives clients confidence in his counsel, whether they are pursuing new opportunities or resolving distressed matters.
