Ioana M. Guset

Ioana M. Guset is an associate attorney at Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP in Chicago, focusing her practice on complex commercial litigation. She represents clients in challenging legal disputes, including breach of fiduciary duty cases, breach of contract matters, shareholder disagreements, fraud claims, defamation, tortious interference, employment discrimination, class action defense, and civil rights litigation. Ioana helps clients resolve their disputes in both federal and state courts, managing cases at the trial and appellate levels with skill and diligence.

Ioana earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law in 2012. During law school, she was a member of The John Marshall Law Review, participated in moot court, and won multiple CALI Awards for excellence in Contracts I, Property, Constitutional Law I, Civil Procedure, and Professional Responsibility. She completed her undergraduate studies at Babes-Bolyai University in Romania, graduating in 2003.

Before joining Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP, Ioana gained valuable experience as a law clerk for Justice John B. Simon in the Illinois Appellate Court, First District. She also served as a staff attorney in the Office of the Chief Judge, Circuit Court of Cook County, Criminal Law Division. In addition, she worked as a judicial extern for The Honorable Margaret M. Brennan in the Circuit Court of Cook County and The Honorable Charles R. Norgle in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
