Hugh Warren serves as special counsel in the Litigation Practice Group and is a member of the intellectual property team. He advises clients on patent prosecution and litigation, trademark and copyright registration, and portfolio management. With experience as both an engineer and a business owner, Warren brings a practical, solutions-driven approach that aligns with the goals of inventors, entrepreneurs, and companies across industries. He is committed to helping clients protect innovation and achieve measurable business results.

Warren earned his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2020, where he gained hands-on experience in the Entrepreneurship and Nonprofit Clinic, providing trademark counseling and registration services. Before law school, he completed his B.S. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Mississippi in 2017. He is admitted to practice in Illinois and Mississippi and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Drawing on his engineering background with a Fortune 500 company, Warren regularly drafts and prosecutes strong, defensible patent applications designed to protect valuable inventions and minimize litigation risks. His practice includes advising clients across diverse industries, including audio electronics, sporting goods, industrial equipment, media, and consumer products. He also assists in intellectual property due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, providing comprehensive legal support that considers the full life cycle of products and services.
