About
Hannah L. Paxton is an associate in Potter Anderson’s General Litigation Group in Wilmington. She represents clients in expedited and non-expedited commercial litigation in Delaware trial courts, including breach of contract, fraud, and trade secret disputes. Her practice includes bankruptcy adversary litigation and highly expedited restrictive covenant cases involving non-competition and non-solicitation issues. She also counsels clients and co-counsel on efficient, cost-conscious eDiscovery strategies for complex matters.
Hannah earned a J.D., magna cum laude, from Widener University, Delaware Law School in 2022, where she served as a staff editor of the Widener Law Review. She received a B.A. from the University of Delaware in 2016 and a B.S. from the University of Delaware in 2014. Her legal education and earlier academic training support her work on litigation strategy, document-intensive disputes, and the practical management of electronically stored information.
Hannah brings prior professional experience in corporate investment banking at a multinational financial institution to her litigation practice. That background informs her approach to commercial disputes involving business relationships, financial issues, and time-sensitive court proceedings. She handles preservation, collection, review, and production issues in eDiscovery and works through disputes involving restrictive covenants, bankruptcy adversary matters, fraud claims, and trade secret allegations in Delaware courts.
Hannah L. Paxton is admitted in Delaware and Pennsylvania and before the United States District Court for the District of Delaware. She is a member of the Delaware State Bar Association, American Bar Association, and Richard S. Rodney Inn of Court. Her practice combines commercial litigation, eDiscovery experience, and a business-oriented background, allowing her to address both the legal demands of a dispute and the operational concerns that can shape a client’s litigation strategy.
