Greta E. Solomon

Greta E. Solomon is a Principal and chair of the Trusts & Estates, Elder Law, and Tax Groups at Cohen and Wolf, P.C. For more than 45 years, she has advised individuals and families on estate planning, probate, and elder law, providing sophisticated legal guidance tailored to meet personal, family, and financial goals. Her practice includes estates, trusts, conservatorships, guardianships, and tax planning, where she is known for her ability to navigate highly complex matters. She also assists members of the LGBTQ community with their estate and family planning needs.

Ms. Solomon earned her A.B. from Smith College in 1973, her J.D. with honors from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1976, and an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law in 1977. She is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New York, and Florida, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut and the U.S. Tax Court.

A Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), Ms. Solomon has also served on the Executive Committee of the Estates and Probate Section of the Connecticut Bar Association. She is an active member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Bridgeport Bar Association, where she once served on the executive committee. A frequent lecturer and writer, she has presented on estate planning and special needs trusts for bar associations, community groups, and continuing legal education programs.

Greta E. Solomon has been consistently recognized by Best Lawyers in America® for Trusts & Estates, Elder Law, and Tax Law, and was twice named “Lawyer of the Year” in Elder Law in the Stamford metro area. She has also been honored as a Connecticut Super Lawyer for Estate & Probate, earning recognition as one of the Top 25 Women Connecticut Super Lawyers and a Top 50 Women New England Super Lawyer. Beyond her legal work, she is active in civic and nonprofit leadership, serving on the boards of Marrakech, Inc., Schoke Jewish Family Services, and her synagogue, Or Shalom.
