Gregory R. Schmitz is a partner at Morgan & Morgan’s Orlando office, where he focuses on employment law and class action litigation. With extensive trial and arbitration experience, he represents employees in claims involving workplace discrimination, wrongful termination, wage violations, and retaliation across federal and state courts.

Gregory holds a B.A. from Florida Atlantic University, graduating cum laude, and earned his J.D. with honors from Emory University School of Law. At Emory, he received the prestigious Order of Emory Advocates Award, recognizing his excellence in advocacy and commitment to legal service.

Before joining Morgan & Morgan, Gregory built his career at some of the world’s largest labor and employment firms, including Littler Mendelson. He now uses that experience to advocate for workers facing systemic discrimination, whistleblower retaliation, and FMLA violations. He also litigates large-scale class actions involving wage and hour violations.

Gregory’s legal accomplishments include multimillion-dollar settlements in high-profile employment cases, including a $9 million class action resolution and significant outcomes in unpaid overtime and misclassification disputes. Gregory is licensed to practice in Florida and all three U.S. District Courts in the state, as well as the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Gregory is an active member of the Florida Bar’s Labor and Employment Section, the American Bar Association, and the Orange County Bar Association. He maintains a strong professional presence while also engaging with the legal community through continuing education events and publications.
