Garth D. Adams

Garth D. Adams has nearly thirty years of legal experience guiding clients through complex corporate matters and transactional challenges. Garth began his education at Drake University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in 1985, followed by a Master of Public Administration in 1986. During this time, he also completed coursework qualifying him to take the CPA exam, which he successfully passed. He later earned his Juris Doctor from Columbia University in 1989, where he was honored as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and selected as an International Fellow.

Garth’s professional background includes experience in Des Moines and New York City, where he worked with major law firms before establishing his practice focus in Iowa. His work centers on corporate and commercial law, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions. He has handled numerous buy-side and sell-side engagements, venture capital transactions, and ongoing advisory services for clients in industries such as manufacturing, financial services, construction, health care, and technology development.
