Molly M. Brown

Molly M. Brown is an attorney with Whitfield & Eddy, P.L.C., where she represents financial institutions and businesses in a wide range of lending and commercial matters. She provides counsel throughout the lending process, including structuring and restructuring secured credit facilities, documenting transactions, handling workouts, and litigating collections. Her practice also extends to advising businesses in commercial transactions, business formations, shareholder agreements, mergers and acquisitions, and asset or equity purchase and sale transactions.

Ms. Brown earned her J.D., with high honors, from Drake University Law School, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and earned a Business Law Certificate. She also earned an M.B.A. from Drake University’s College of Business and Public Administration, and a B.B.A. in Finance, with high honors, from the Henry B. Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa. In 2019, she furthered her expertise by completing the Fundamentals of Banking Law program at Boston University School of Law, gaining in-depth knowledge of regulatory law impacting financial institutions.

At Whitfield & Eddy, P.L.C., Molly M. Brown is a member of the Business and Banking Practice Group and serves on the firm’s Strategic Planning Committee. She is also the current chair of the Professional Recruitment Committee and has previously contributed to the Business Development Committee.

Through her extensive experience in financial services, creditor rights, restructuring, and commercial transactions, Ms. Brown provides clients with strategic legal guidance that aligns with both their immediate needs and long-term business goals.
