About

Fred Bremseth is a nationally recognized trial Lawyer whose practice centers on Federal Employers Liability Act claims, medical malpractice, products liability, personal injury, and wrongful death matters. Since beginning his legal career in 1978, he has represented injured railroad employees and other clients facing severe, life-changing harm during difficult recoveries.

Fred’s education includes Legal Study at Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, and Undergraduate Study at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, where he earned his B.A. This academic foundation supports a career built on courtroom preparation, complex litigation strategy, and strong advocacy for injured people. Over more than forty years of practice, he has handled catastrophic injury cases in state and federal courts across the country. His work has involved quadriplegia, paraplegia, amputations, brain damage, spinal injuries, disfigurement, chemical exposure, asbestos claims, defective drug litigation, auto collisions, medical negligence, and wrongful death in litigation.

Fred has secured significant jury verdicts and settlements, earning recognition from organizations that honor million- and multimillion-dollar results. His legal career has included leadership in railroad injury litigation, association with attorneys nationwide, and service as lead trial counsel in high-stakes matters requiring experienced courtroom judgment, including trials and appeals. He also contributed to a major mass-tort representation involving Dalkon Shield claimants, serving on the claimants’ committee during litigation that resulted in a multibillion-dollar settlement. His product liability work has received national attention, including public television coverage of precedent-setting drug-injury issues and consumer-protection concerns in complex injury matters nationwide.

Fred Bremseth’s professional memberships include the Montana and Minnesota Bar Associations, the Academy of Rail Labor Attorneys, the American Association for Justice, the American Bar Association, and the Minnesota Association for Justice. He has also served in leadership roles in trial law and earned recognition from the American College of Barristers. In recent years, he has become a leader in whole body vibration claims for locomotive engineers and trainmen suffering spinal injuries. By developing expert teams, examining corporate records, and pursuing claims against railroads for unsafe equipment, he helps injured workers seek accountability, compensation, and safer industry practices through carefully prepared legal claims.
