Eric began his academic journey at the University of Connecticut, earning a Bachelor of Arts in 1984, before completing his Juris Doctor at the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1988. Eric built his career through practice at major law firms, including Milbank, Tweed, Hadley and McCloy in New York, and later in the bankruptcy group at Reid and Riege, P.C. in Hartford. Over the years, he has appeared in bankruptcy courts across the country, handling matters involving creditors’ rights, business litigation, and alternative dispute resolution such as arbitration and mediation.
Eric has shared his knowledge through lectures and published works addressing topics such as hedge fund workouts, receiverships, pension plan issues, and asset protection trusts. His writings and presentations reflect a strong grasp of the challenges posed by financial crises and their impact on businesses and investors. His dedication to advancing legal understanding has benefited both colleagues and the broader legal community.
