He then attended UCLA School of Law, obtaining his Juris Doctor in 1999. While in law school, he gained recognition as a leading oral advocate and legal writer, winning 1st Place in the California Moot Court State Championship and multiple awards in appellate advocacy. Following graduation, he passed the California and Nevada Bar Exams on his first attempt and was admitted to practice in both states.
