Ed Reynolds Davies Jr. serves as Of Counsel at Spicer Rudstrom, PLLC in Nashville, bringing more than 40 years of experience to civil litigation across Tennessee. Since beginning practice in 1983, Mr. Davies has built a strong reputation for representing clients in medical malpractice and healthcare liability matters involving physicians, healthcare providers, and patients. His practice also includes personal injury, wrongful death, civil rights, construction law, product liability, drug and medical device litigation, class actions, and probate and estates.
Mr. Davies earned a B.A. from Rhodes College (formerly Southwestern at Memphis) in 1979 and a J.D., with High Honors, from the University of Tennessee College of Law, Knoxville, Tennessee, in 1982. He was elected to the Order of the Coif upon graduation, reflecting his academic excellence. Before entering private practice, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable L. Clure Morton, Chief Judge, United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee from 1982 to 1983.
Mr. Davies is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Tennessee, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. His commitment to professional standards includes serving two terms as a hearing panel member for the Board of Professional Responsibility of the Supreme Court of Tennessee from 1993 to 1999. He is an active member of the American Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, and Nashville Bar Association and a fellow of the American Bar Endowment.
