DeAnn M. Pladson is the founder of Pladson Law Office, P.L.L.C., where she focuses her practice on all areas of family law. Raised in Fargo, North Dakota, DeAnn has dedicated her career to helping families navigate complex legal challenges with care and clarity. After starting as a solo practitioner, she joined Maring Williams Law Office in 1997 and became a shareholder in 2001. In 2010, she opened her own firm to continue her mission of making the family law system more accessible and effective for families facing difficult times.
DeAnn earned her B.A. in Speech Communications from Moorhead State University in 1989. She went on to receive her J.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1992. Her strong academic background laid the foundation for her trusted family law practice.
DeAnn is licensed to practice in both North Dakota and Minnesota and is well known for her work in family law litigation, mediation, and collaborative law. Her certifications include Collaborative Law Attorney, Certified Divorce Mediator, Parenting Coordinator, and Early Neutral Evaluator. She also serves as a Guardian ad Litem in capacity cases.
Throughout her career, DeAnn M. Pladson has worked to make the legal system better for families. She has served on task forces, chaired committees, and spoken at numerous legal seminars on family law topics. DeAnn is active in both the North Dakota and Minnesota Family Law Sections and volunteers with legal aid programs to help those in need. Families appreciate her steady guidance, clear communication, and dedication to achieving fair results.
