About
Greg Liebl is an experienced family law attorney and co-founder of SW&L Attorneys, where he leads the firm’s Family Law Practice Group. Greg focuses his practice on helping people through adoptions, divorces, and custody matters, guiding clients with clear advice and strong advocacy during challenging times. With nearly two decades of family law experience, he works to find fair solutions that protect families and put children first.
Greg earned his J.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Law, where he graduated with distinction and was recognized for his advocacy skills as a member of The Order of Barristers. He also participated in the UND School of Law Moot Court Association. He holds a B.A. from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, where he double majored in Psychology and Sociology.
Before co-founding SW&L Attorneys in 2013, Greg practiced family law at a Fargo-based law firm, where he advanced to partner. He has argued before the North Dakota Supreme Court in multiple cases, including R.F. v. M.M., Orwig v. Orwig I, II & III, Eubanks v. Fisketjon, and Anderson v. Spitzer. His knowledge of complex family law issues and commitment to effective representation have earned him a reputation for thorough, client-focused service.
Greg Liebl is admitted to practice in North Dakota, Minnesota, Montana, Spirit Lake Tribal Court, White Earth Tribal Court, and the U.S. District Court for the District of North Dakota. He is an active member of the State Bar Association of North Dakota and its Family Law Section, as well as the Minnesota State Bar Association.
Outside of the firm, Greg helped organize the SW&L Charitable Fund and volunteers for local causes like the Heart-n-Soul Community Cafe and the Special Olympics Golf Classic. He combines skilled legal work with community dedication to make a positive impact both inside and outside the courtroom.
