David W. Kent has practiced law in Evansville, Indiana, since 1992, handling a wide range of contested and non-contested matters. His trial experience covers complex civil litigation, business disputes, family law conflicts, criminal defense cases, personal injury claims, probate proceedings, and general civil litigation issues in state and federal courts.
David earned his B.S. in 1988 fromthe University of Southern Indiana. He later received his J.D. in 1991 from Cooley Law School. During law school, he was a member of Phi Alpha Delta. He was admitted to the Indiana bar in 1992 and to the U.S. District Court Southern District of Indiana.
Kent represents individuals, families, and businesses in matters that often require careful strategy and steady courtroom advocacy. His business and commercial litigation work addresses corporate disputes and contract conflicts. In family law, he assists clients with divorce and juvenile-related issues. He also defends criminal charges and guides families through probate concerns.
Kent has remained active in the legal community for many years. He served on the Evansville Bar Association Board of Directors and chaired its Grievance Committee from 1998 – 2003. His service has been recognized with the Susan K. Helfrich Award for Excellence in Pro Bono Service and the Doran E. Perdue Evansville Bar Association Service Award.
