David earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska School of Law in 1980. After completing his education, he returned to North Platte and began practicing law alongside his father, Donald Pederson. Growing up in a family connected to the legal profession helped shape his understanding of client service, responsibility, and long-term legal planning.

David has served as a Bankruptcy Trustee and has participated in numerous committees of the Nebraska State Bar.
