David L. Wyant

David L. Wyant is the managing member of Bailey & Wyant, PLLC’s Wheeling, West Virginia office and maintains a broad civil defense litigation practice. Wyant represents clients in medical malpractice, product liability, industrial accident, construction, governmental liability, labor and employment, and extra-contractual bad faith matters. His work involves defending businesses, professionals, public entities, and other clients in disputes that require careful case assessment, litigation strategy, and practical attention to risk.

Wyant earned his J.D. from Indiana University College of Law in 1980 and a B.A. from Miami University in Ohio in 1977. He is admitted to practice in West Virginia, before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia, and before the U.S. Supreme Court. His legal education and decades of litigation experience support his work across complex civil defense matters.

Wyant’s practice spans claims involving health care, defective products, workplace disputes, construction projects, industrial accidents, governmental liability, and insurance bad faith.
