About
David J. Lemasa, Esq. is an experienced criminal defense attorney who has tried more than one hundred cases to jury verdict. He represents clients in criminal defense, personal injury, medical malpractice, and complex civil litigation matters. His practice includes serious felony charges, white collar crimes, DUI offenses, domestic violence, and post-conviction relief. With experience on both the prosecution and defense sides, he understands every stage of litigation and provides strategic courtroom advocacy.
David earned his J.D. from Suffolk University School of Law in 2001. He received his B.S. from Northeastern University’s College of Criminal Justice in 1998, with a minor in Political Science. During law school, he worked in the Boston office of the United States Attorney and served as a special prosecutor in the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office. His academic and early professional experience focused heavily on criminal law and procedure.
After law school, David practiced in Boston-area firms handling medical malpractice, construction disputes, shareholder rights, premises liability, and personal injury cases. In 2007, he became an Assistant District Attorney in the Northwestern District of Massachusetts and later in Hampden County. As a prosecutor, he handled misdemeanors and felonies and served in the Special Victims Unit, prosecuting serious child abuse cases.
In 2013, David J. Lemasa established a solo practice focused on criminal defense and civil litigation before joining as Of Counsel. He regularly lectures at legal seminars, providing trial training to attorneys. Admitted in Connecticut and Massachusetts, he remains active in professional associations. Known for his courtroom skill and trial experience, David is committed to delivering thorough, effective representation for every client.
