David Inabinett is the Managing Member of Brinkley Walser Stoner, serving clients from the firm’s Lexington and Greensboro, North Carolina offices. His practice focuses on estate planning and administration, elder law, Medicaid and nursing home planning, real estate law, public school law, and business and commercial matters. He helps individuals, families, closely held businesses, educational institutions, and community organizations address legal needs with practical guidance tailored to their circumstances. His work helps clients manage risks, preserve assets, and support long-term goals.

avid earned a B.A. from Wake Forest University in 1992 and a J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1996. He joined Brinkley Walser Stoner immediately after law school and has remained with the firm throughout his career. He is admitted in North Carolina and before the US District Courts for the Middle and Western Districts of North Carolina. His education and long-term practice provide a strong foundation for resolving complex personal, institutional, and business matters.

His representative work includes advising the Davidson County Board of Education, Lexington City Board of Education, Davidson County Community College, Davidson Water, Inc., and Davidson Land Development, LLC. David assists clients with estate and trust planning, long-term care concerns, real estate transactions, closely held family business issues, and matters affecting public schools and community colleges. He often works with clients and their medical, tax, or financial advisers to develop coordinated solutions suited to each matter.

David has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America for Elder Law and Trusts and Estates, including the 2026 edition, and has received an AV Distinguished peer rating from Martindale-Hubbell. He is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, its Elder Law and Estate Planning sections, the Davidson County Bar Association, and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
