David J. Sergio

David J. Sergio is an attorney and the owner of Sergio & Associates, P.C. in Buford, Georgia. He has served the Gwinnett community since 1996, focusing primarily on real estate law. Mr. Sergio handles residential, construction, commercial, and business closing transactions for institutional mortgage lenders, home builders, commercial contractors, and property owners. His practice also includes contract preparation, negotiation, title insurance matters, and related legal services connected to property transfers and development.

Mr. Sergio earned a Juris Doctor from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School in 1996. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University in Bloomington and an Associate of Arts from Holy Cross College. His legal education included recognition through the American Jurisprudence Award for Advocacy. Before entering practice, he worked in his family’s second-generation contracting business, providing practical experience that supports his understanding of construction, business operations, and real estate transactions.

Mr. Sergio assists clients with purchase and sale agreements, for-sale-by-owner transactions, owner-financed sales, foreclosures, and corporate formation. He also prepares wills and advance directives for healthcare and handles uncontested divorce matters. As a title insurance agent for Investors Title Insurance Company, he helps clients address title and closing requirements. His broad transactional background allows him to identify potential issues, coordinate important documents, and guide parties through significant property and business matters.

David J. Sergio is admitted to practice in Georgia, including before the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Georgia, and the US District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia’s Real Property Section and the Georgia Real Estate Closing Attorneys Association. Mr. Sergio has also served the local business community as a founding member of the Suwanee Business Alliance and a former board member of the City of Suwanee Downtown Development Authority.
