David Gray Wright is a Principal at KSC Law and a dedicated advocate for unions and employees. He represents clients in labor and employment matters before Maryland courts, federal courts, the National Labor Relations Board, and administrative agencies. His practice spans arbitration, litigation, legislative counseling, and compliance guidance.
David earned his J.D. with honors from the University of Maryland School of Law and holds a B.A. from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. During law school, David interned for Representative Ben Cardin, the Office of the Attorney General, and the Maryland Court of Appeals. He later clerked for Judge Patrick L. Woodward and served as a Research Fellow at his alma mater.
David litigates a wide range of employment disputes, including wage and hour violations, Family and Medical Leave Act claims, ADA actions, and whistleblower retaliation cases. He also advises professionals on severance agreements and workplace rights, ensuring clients understand their legal standing and options during employment transitions.
David is a skilled appellate litigator with experience arguing before Maryland’s highest courts. His appellate work includes key labor and election law decisions, such as Atkinson v. Anne Arundel County and Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 35 v. Montgomery County. In Christ v. Town of Ocean City, he secured a First Amendment victory for boardwalk performers and artists.
Recognized by The Best Lawyers in America for his work in union labor law and employment litigation, David Gray Wright has also been named a Maryland Rising Star by Super Lawyers from 2013 to 2018. He has served on the Board of Directors for the AFL-CIO Lawyers’ Coordinating Committee and various community organizations.
