About
Danny Chrisney is the Managing Lawyer for the Phoenix office of Wilner & O’Reilly and focuses his practice on immigration law. He assists clients with immigration matters that require careful attention to federal procedures, eligibility standards, filings, and agency review. His background includes work within US Citizenship and Immigration Services and nonprofit immigration advocacy, giving him experience with government processes and with the legal needs of immigrants seeking status, protection, or other immigration benefits.
Chrisney earned a B.A. in Linguistics from Brigham Young University in 2014, with a minor in Portuguese. He received a J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in 2018, where he earned a Dean’s Scholarship and the school’s highest pro bono distinction. He studied immigration law and policy, worked in the Immigration Clinic, and assisted a professor in that field, building a focused academic foundation for immigration practice.
Chrisney worked with US Citizenship and Immigration Services at the Phoenix Field Office and received a Certificate of Appreciation for legal research. He also served as a law clerk with the Florence Immigrant & Refugee Rights Project’s Children’s Program, where matters included asylum and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status issues. His experience further includes participation in an immigration initiative providing community-focused support. These roles gave him exposure to both agency decision-making and direct representation of immigrants with complex legal needs.
Danny Chrisney was admitted to the Arizona bar in 2018 and speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese. His practice combines immigration-focused legal education, government agency experience, nonprofit advocacy, and leadership of Wilner & O’Reilly’s Phoenix office. That background supports his work with clients navigating federal immigration systems, where accurate filings, procedural compliance, legal research, and clear communication can be central to pursuing immigration benefits and responding effectively to agency requirements.
