Daniel A. Byrd is an attorney who advocates for both individuals and businesses in a wide range of legal disputes. His practice covers commercial litigation, bankruptcy and insolvency, creditor and debtor issues, receiverships, foreclosure matters, and legal malpractice claims. He has experience guiding clients through both state and federal court proceedings, including appellate representation.
Daniel completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Connecticut, earning a B.A. in Political Science in 2017. He went on to receive his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2020. While in law school, he served as Executive Editor of the Connecticut Public Interest Law Journal, participated on the Moot Court Board, and excelled in national-level mock trial competitions.
Daniel actively supports legal education as a coach and advisor to the UConn Law Mock Trial Society. Under his leadership, a student team secured a national championship, reflecting his strong commitment to training the next generation of trial lawyers. His dedication to professional excellence is further recognized through his membership in the Fairfield County Chapter of the American Inns of Court, a prestigious organization focused on ethics, civility, and advanced trial advocacy skills.
Daniel maintains active membership in several professional organizations, including the Connecticut Bar Association, where he participates in the Litigation, Commercial Law and Bankruptcy, and Young Lawyers Sections. He is also a member of the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association, Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International, and the Raymond E. Baldwin American Inns of Court. His admissions include the Connecticut state courts (2020), the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut (2021), and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit (2023).
