Christopher R. Ryon is Principal at KSC Law and a trusted advocate for labor unions, individual employees, and government contractors. His practice focuses on labor and employment litigation, wage and hour disputes, and government procurement matters across both state and federal jurisdictions.
Christopher earned his J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law in 2003 and his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in 1998. He is admitted to practice before the Maryland Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court for Maryland, and multiple federal appellate courts, including the Fourth and D.C. Circuits.
Christopher represents labor unions before the National Labor Relations Board and other agencies, advocating in collective bargaining and workplace disputes. He also represents employees in a wide range of employment matters and frequently speaks at seminars on labor and government contract law, providing thought leadership in the legal community.
As head of the firm’s procurement and government contracts practice, Christopher advises clients on public-sector bidding and litigates bid protests and contract disputes. His work spans large construction, IT, healthcare, and other service industries. His background as an Assistant Attorney General for Maryland adds depth to his regulatory and litigation approach.
Recognized by Best Lawyers in America and Maryland Super Lawyers, Christopher R. Ryon was named Baltimore’s 2023 “Lawyer of the Year” in Labor Law–Union. He also earned a place on The Daily Record’s 2024 Employment Law Power List and contributes legal scholarship through numerous publications on labor and employment issues.
Beyond the courtroom, Christopher serves on the Leadership Council of the Public Justice Center and the board of the Mount Washington Soccer Club. His dedication to equity and public service reinforces his commitment to justice for workers and unions throughout Maryland and beyond.
