Christopher P. Simon brings over twenty-five years of litigation experience in Delaware, concentrating on corporate and commercial disputes, fiduciary issues, and creditor rights. As co-founder of Cross & Simon, LLC, he represents corporations, trustees, committees, and individuals in both transactions and litigation.
Mr. Simon received his Bachelor of Arts from Washington and Lee University in 1992 and his Juris Doctor from Widener University Delaware Law School, where he served on the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law. Before beginning his legal career, he worked as a journalist with publications including The Wall Street Journal and The Baltimore Sun, an experience that sharpened his investigative skills for litigation.
Mr. Simon began his career as a trial attorney with the Delaware Public Defender’s Office, arguing his first appeal before the Delaware Supreme Court. Since then, he has litigated in every Delaware court, including the Court of Chancery, Superior Court, and U.S. District Court.
Mr. Simon’s work spans bankruptcy cases, corporate dissolutions, receiverships, and appellate matters. He is also listed on the Register of Mediators and Arbitrators for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
In addition to corporate and bankruptcy matters, Mr. Simon has extensive experience in class action litigation, securing multimillion-dollar results for clients. He has held leadership roles in community and professional organizations, including serving on the Wilmington Housing Authority and the Ethics Commission for New Castle County.
